| We want to assure our customers that we have a plan in place to safeguard your assets and protect account information in the event of a business disruption. Citizens Funds, Citizens Advisers, Inc. and Citizens Securities, Inc. (“Citizens”) has developed and implemented a Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”) to protect its business processes and technology environment in the event of a significant business disruption. Citizens’ policy is to respond to a significant business disruption in an effort to safeguard employees’ lives and firm property, make a financial and operational assessment, quickly recover and resume operations, protect the firm’s books and records, and allow our customers to transact business.
Citizens Continuity Planning Guidelines
Citizens has developed a plan to recover from business disruptions of varying severity and length including severe weather, fire, power outages, evacuations, intentional acts, facilities failures or other events that may cause business interruption. In order to maintain a secure and effective plan, Citizens does not disclose the details of its plan in this notice.
Alternate Communications
We want to assure all Citizens customers that regardless of the scope of the disruption to our business we plan to continue business. In the event our office or its systems are not accessible for any reason, all telephone calls and transactions will be rerouted. Our plan is designed to ensure sustained service.
Backup Facilities and Arrangements
Citizens has established a plan in which each major business area has established processing capability from an alternate site. Citizens has identified critical areas to the ongoing operations of its business. All critical applications with the potential for significant financial and market share loss have a planned recovery time of less than 24 hours.
Citizens BCP is reviewed as necessary, and at least
annually, to ensure adequacy. The BCP is subject to
change and material changes will be reflected in an updated BCP summary
which will be posted here.
